There’s a pizzeria called Paisano’s. The one I usually go to has reasonable prices. I went to a different location not knowing that all Paisano’s aren’t the same. I noticed after being seated that they had fine dinnerware sets. They gave me my water and complimentary bread before I looked at the prices. Their appetizers were around $50. I *IMMEDIATELY* pretended my phone rang and told my server that I had an emergency and couldn’t stay. I got the HELL out of there!!! I’m glad I didn’t touch the water or bread😂😂😂
One time me and my friend had lunch in a steak house, they served us water with a huge glass bottle which seems luxurious and expensive. I was suspecting whether the water was charged or not. When one bottle was up, the waitress asked us if we want another bottle.
I was about to refuse, but my friend said yes before I could say something. At the end of the day, we found we were charged 13 bucks on water. That's crazy.

As someone that works in a restaurant, we're discouraged from taking cups back unless it's to wash them because we want to be sanitary. We usually get a new cup and take the old one off the table to wash it if it's empty. Otherwise, we only take cups back after they leave or if the customer hands us the cup to refill it.

I once was visiting Japan and after a whole day of travel arrived at my Hotel starving. So me and my dad went into the hotel's restaurant. The guy asked if we had a reservation even though the place was empty. This should have been our clue something was up. We sat down expecting it to be a little pricey, but we were very hungry. They give us the menu and there isn't anything to eat under $90 USD. We apparently had walked into a VERY fancy japanese restaurant meant for traveling business people. Not sure what to do since the servers were already giving us top notch service, we each ordered overpriced sparkling water and left. It was so awkward.

He was so greedy he didn't want to hear it when I showed him the menu I ordered from. He said they had a new menu and I asked how that was my problem. He then acted like he was doing me a such a huge favor to "only" charge me what was on the menu I ordered from. There was no tip for them.
